Foliage Application:

We all have had the basic course in fertilization: plants need NPK – nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. This is like saying humans need carbohydrates, fats and protein. Most vegetation requires a minimum of 16 nutrients.

According to scientists, within one hour a plant can transport minerals from its leaves all the way down to its roots. Compared to root feeding, this is the fast track and is a powerful addition to soil applications.

Foliage fertilization is fast becoming an essential addition to standard cultivation techniques. Generally results are visible within in approximately 48 hours. The sugar

content (brix) can usually be detected within 1 to 4 hours.

With foliage feeding it is better to apply small amounts of BioGrow 365 more frequently than it is to drench the plants with large amounts of solution. A wetting agent can be used if necessary.

Always mix sprays as well as possible and apply them in as fine a mist as possible.

The best time to foliar feed is late evening to early morning, when the stomata (the small opening on the leaves) are open. Avoid spraying when the temperature is above 80º or when the weather is hot & dry and water vapor is leaving the cells.
